This arrangement has an impellor mounted drectly onto the motor shaft. The hub is extended and prodtrudes though the plug section. Maximum air temperature is 350ºC (100mm plug depth). Higher temperatures can be accommodated on request. |

This arrangement has a shaft and bearings supporting an overhung impellor. The shaft is exposed to the airstream at the back of the impellor hub only. The bearings are outside of the airstream and protected from heat by a cooling disc and shaft seal. The shaft is driven by motor through a vee belt drive. Maximum air temperature is 450ºC (100mm plug depth). Higher temperatures can be accommodated on request. |
